To activate twirling, slide the switch on the handle up. To clean,pull metal fork away from handle. Metal fork can placed in dishwasher.The handle is wipe clean only. Don not submerge the handle in water. Insert/change the batteries by removing the screw located towards the bottom of the handle.lift open the cover and insert/replace the 2x AAA alkaline batteries.
Don not mix standard,alkaline or rechangable batteries.
